Skeletal System of a Worm
The Worm has a type of skeletal system called a hydrostatic skeleton. This skeleton is a pressurised fluid filled cavity that surrounds the body of the worm (see figure1) and other soft shelled invertebrates. The hydrostatic skeleton allows the worm to move by the worm exerting the pressure of their muscles on the fluid filled cavities.
